My son told me about Ares Ultimate yesterday. He told me about all the wonderful things it could do. Naturally he might as well have been talking in Greek for all I understood of his techno-babble.

“Mum” he said “just trust me, use it!”.

So I trusted him (which instantly sent alarm bells ringing and the angels of my better judgment went crying back into their hiding place) and had a go. He told me that I could use Ares Ultimate to download my favorite music (Dire Straits, obviously) onto my computer so that I could listen while I worked on my latest novel. I honestly didn’t believe that it would work but I thought it best to humor him.

So I followed the easy instructions telling me what to do to search for my music and away I went. To my surprise I was listening to Mark Knopfler and the gang pump out Brothers In Arms in under 10 minutes. Me! Doing all this! Well, in truth it was Ares Ultimate that was doing all this, not me.

And my son was suitable unimpressed. Ares Ultimate, he said, could be used by anyone.

Apparently I’d just proved that theory.
