Lies are easy to spread on the Internet. Half-truths are incredibly easy to propagate. The half-truths regarding the business practices of the direct sales company Liberty League International were spread quickly and effectively by disgruntled (failed) entrepreneurs and home business competitors alike.

All of which quickly led to the public perception of Liberty League International being a very negative one.

The stories spread were centered around the poor quality product upon which the sales were focused.
